Disposable filters suitable for any type of cloth mask
- Filters out microscopic particulate matter like dust, haze, allergens, pollution ash, pollen, exhaust, smoke, or other airborne particles up to 2.5 µm in size
- 10-pack (5 packages of 2 filters per self-sealed plastic bag)
- Replace filter after each use
5-Layers of Filtration:
The filter is constructed in a symmetrical manner such that regardless of which side faces out, you are always having the same two layers of fabric on either side of the middle carbon-activated layer.
- Layer 1: Non-woven layer of spun-bound polyester material
- Layer 2: Melt-blown layer of non-woven polypropylene
- Layer 3: Carbon-activated layer
- Layer 4: Melt-blown layer of non-woven polypropylene
- Layer 5: Non-woven layer of spun-bound polyester material
NOTE: Please be aware that no non-medical mask or filter can offer 100% protection. We recommend you follow the guidelines published on the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) website on How To Protect Yourself and Others and on the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) website to Learn About Particulate Matters.

The Benefits of Adding PM2.5 Mask Filters To Face Mask
A PM2.5 mask filters is a small disposable insert that goes between the front layer and back layer of a cloth face mask for the filtration of harmful particles in the air that we cannot see and may inhale.
There are literally hundreds of different kinds of pollutants in the air. These pollutants are virtually invisible to the naked eye because they are so small that they can only be seen with an electon microscope. While most pollutants are harmless to healthy people, they could be harmful or fatal to those with allergies, asthma, lung diseases, to children, to the fetus of pregnant wormen, to the elderly and those whose immune system are compromised, etc.
These pollutants are referred to as "particulate matter" (PM) and they are measured in micrometer (i.e. micron). The PM size that are most dangerous is 2.5 which is two and one half microns or less in diameter. In comparison to a human hair that is about 70 microns in diameter, PM2.5 is about 30 times smaller than the diameter of a human hair. These PM2.5 are air-suspended mixture of both solid and liquid particles that enters the body through inhalation and can get deep into lungs or even into the bloodstream that can affect both the lungs and the heart that in turn can lead to decreased lung function and heart condition.
The newest pollutant in the air is the COVID-19 virus. They are released into the air through droplets or tiny particles called aerosols when an infected person with the virus coughs, sneezes, or talks. Therefore wearing a face mask with a PM2.5 mask filter can lessen the chance of contracting the virus.
NOTE: Please be aware that no non-medical mask or filter can offer 100% protection. We recommend you follow the guidelines published on the CDC website and learn more about "particulate matters" on the EPA website.

PM2.5 Mask Filters Offers 5 Layers of Filtration
Each layer of the PM2.5 mask filter serves a different purpose in filtering out particulate matters. The filter has no front or back as it is constructed in a symmetrical manner. Layers 1 & 5 are spun-bound polyester material that filters out larger particles. Layer 2 & 4 are high-efficiency melt-blown nonwoven polypropylene that filters smaller substances. And Layer 3 (the middle layer) is an activated carbon layer that traps particulate matter via an adhesion process.

Convenient Package of 2 Filters in a Self-Sealed Plastic Bag
Our PM2.5 mask filters are packaged as 2 filters in a self-sealed plastic bag that can be carried in a handbag, wallet, backpack, jacket pocket, pant pocket, glove compartment, etc. When one filter is taken out to use, the second one can remain in the bag that can be sealed again with the self-seal adhesive already along the edge. This saves the planet of more plastic in the trash as some plastic are not biodegradable or takes a long time to decompose.

Dispose of PM2.5 Mash Filters After Each Use
Once a PM2.5 filter is used, we recommend that you throw it out because pollutants have already been drawn through from one direction and trapped between the layers. If the filter is reuse again and inserted into the mask in the reverse direction, you risk breathing through the same side that the pollutants had passed through previously. Why then take any risk on your health when a new fresh filter can be used for the most optimal protection.
